Mendefera

Province

Mendefera ( Tigrinya መንደፈራ, alternative name Adi Ugri ) is a city in Eritrea with about 30,000 inhabitants. It is located south of Senafe in the center of the country and is the capital of Debub region. Mendefera was a center of Aksum. In Mendefera especially Tigrinya belonging to the Eritrean Orthodox faith life.
