Mengzi City

The independent city of Mengzi ( Mencius Shì蒙自 市) is part of the administrative territory of the Autonomous Prefecture of Honghe Hani and Yi the southern Chinese province of Yunnan. The city has an area of ​​2228 km ² and 320,000 inhabitants ( 2004). My seat of government is located in the large village Wenlan (文澜 镇).

History

The Old Customs Office of Mengzi ( Mencius Haiguan Jiuzhi蒙自 海关 旧址) is since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-1056 ).
