Menkheperre

Menkheperre was the son of the king of Upper Egypt Pinudjem I. and around 1045-992 BC during the 21st Dynasty ( Third Intermediate Period ) "High Priest of Amun " at Thebes, and when he succeeded his brother Djedchonsiuefanch.

Other siblings were Psusennes I, the God's Wife of Amun Maatkare and Masaharta.

Little is known about the time of his reign. He bore the title " King of Upper and Lower Egypt ," which was otherwise reserved for the Pharaoh, and let several fortresses and forts in Middle Egypt build. Furthermore, it is reported on a stele in the temple of Karnak, that he let to the local temple district to build a wall to protect it from the spreading residential buildings.
