Mensur Suljović

Scale Suljović ( born March 5, 1972 in Tutin, Yugoslavia, now Serbia ) is a darts player who lives in Vienna. His nickname is " The Gentle " and its inlet music is " Live Is Life" by Opus.

Career

Suljović has begun in Vienna, playing electric darts, but later found also to Steeldart. His first major success was winning the E- Darts World Championship in Kalkar in 1999. Steeldart In 2000, he reached the second round of the Winmau World Masters. In the following years he took to the sport of darts in Germany. In 2007 he participated in the German Darts Corporation tour part. He was ranking first, giving him participation in the PDC World Darts Championship 2008 allowed, where he sat down in the first round against Andy Smith, in the second round but failed to eventual winners John Part.

After that he was qualified for the first edition of the European Darts Championship. There he defeated in the first round of Roland Scholten, but could not prevail against Robert Thornton in the second round.

Mensur then qualified in 2009 on the GDC Order of Merit again at the PDC World Darts Championship. There he sat down in the first round against Peter Manley through, but failed in the second round to Mark Dudbridge. In the European Darts Championship 2009, he sat down, as in the previous year, in the first round against Roland Scholten through, but then lost the second round again, but this time against Colin Lloyd.

2010 Suljović could re-qualify for the PDC World Darts Championship, but lost already in the first round against Kevin Painter.

In the next year in the PDC World Darts Championship 2011, he was able to prevail in the first round against Michael van Gerwen. In the second round he surprisingly won against the second in the world rankings James Wade. He was thus the first German -speaking players, who stood in a knockout round of the World Darts Championship. However, in the second round he lost to the British Wes Newton.

In the PDC World Darts Championship 2012, he failed in the first round to Paul Nicholson.

Private

Scale Suljović and his wife Enisa have a son. His hobbies include basketball. In Vienna, he worked in the cafe of his brother.
