The boundaries of the mountain range forming the Slana River to the west, the Jack Creek in the south, the Nabesna River in the east and Station and Tuck Creek in the north. West of the Mountains Mentasta runs the Tok Cut -Off and north of the Alaska Highway. South close the Wrangell Mountains and east to the Nutzotin Mountains.
