Mercuria Energy Group

The Mercuria Energy Group Holding SA, based in Geneva is a Swiss oil trading company. It is the trading unit, which is domiciled in Cyprus Mercuria Energy Group Ltd..

The company was founded in 2004 by two Swiss commodity traders Marco Dunand and Daniel Jaeggi. These have a combined on commodity trading specialist, operating on Wall Street team with the J & S Services & Investment Ltd. was founded in 1993 and moved their trading activities in Geneva.

The Group is mainly engaged in petroleum products, but their trading activities extended to electricity, natural gas, coal and emissions trading.

Mercuria is wholly owned by its founders and its management and in 2007 achieved with about 500 employees and a turnover of 33 billion U.S. dollars.
