Merom Golan

Merom Golan (Hebrew: מְרוֹם גּוֹלָן ) is an Israeli kibbutz in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights since 1967.

The kibbutz is located on the Nordwestöffung the 1171 -meter-high volcanic cone of Har Bental and was four kilometers west of the deserted by the inhabitants after the Six -Day War in Quneitra city and built in 1967 in the areas controlled by the UN zone on the Golan Heights. Merom Golan comprises approximately 450 hectares of agricultural area used for fields, pastures, vineyards and orchards. In addition, there is accommodation for about 150 tourists with two kosher restaurants, and a factory for the assembly of electric motors. Work a large number of drusen from neighboring villages and people from Thailand and Nepal on the agricultural land and in the factory.

From Merom Golan, there are opportunities to explore the front with trenches, barbed wire etc., either on foot or by horse and cart.
