The Mettmecke is a 4.8 km long, orographic right tributary of the Linnepe in North Rhine-Westphalia Hochsauerlandkreis, Germany.

Geography

The river rises north of Bright field at an altitude of 480 m above sea level. NN at the Hellefelder height. From here it flows first to the west and later to the southwest. In the west field at Good Quick house it flows at 275 m above sea level. NN in the Linnepe.

On its 4.8 km long road which Mettmecke overcomes a difference in altitude of 205 m.

Nature

The Mettmecke is surrounded approximately one half of their course of forest and grassland. This leads to the fact that their movement has remained very close to nature. At the Mettmecke dippers was detected as a breeding bird. As a dietary guest of the black stork occurs, which breeds in the field of Hellefelder height. In Good Quick house the grass snake occurs.
