Metztitlán

Metztitlan is a town in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. Metztitlan is the administrative seat and largest town of the municipality of Metztitlan. It lies about 80 km north of Pachuca de Soto.
History
Just like the cities of Tlaxcala and the Aztecs Huexotzinco Metztitlan could never conquer, though they tried to do this several times. When the Spanish conquistadors led war against the Aztecs, the inhabitants of the city presented to the side of Hernán Cortés.
1811 came in Metztitlan to two rebellions of indigenous people, but they were defeated.
