The Mesha (Russian Межа ) is a river in the northwest of the European part of the Russian Federation, in the Tver Oblast. It rises on the Valdai Hills and flows into the Daugava River, which flows near Riga in the Baltic Sea.
The length of the Mesha is 259 km, its catchment area covers 9080 km ² and has an average discharge of 61 m³ / s. Important tributaries are Beresa, Lutschessa, Obscha and Jelscha on the left, and the Butakowka on the right side.
The underflow is navigable, but the navigation is difficult because of driftwood.
