Mibu no Tadamine

Mibu no Tadamine (Japanese壬 生 忠 岑; * ca 860, † 920 ) was a Japanese waka poet of the Heian period. It is among the Thirty-Six Immortals of Poetry. His son Mibu no Tadami was also a respected waka poet.

Although he in public life only a lower military rank, for example, Member of the imperial bodyguard on the left ( sakon'e -fu ) and the palace guard held to the right ( Uemon - fu), so Mibu no Tadamine was also a waka poet highest rank. He was compiler of the anthology Kokin - Wakashū. In addition to this collection of poems, the collection Tadamine shū is also obtained. He is also known for his participation in the Kampyō no Ontoki Kisai no Miya no Utaawase (寛 平 御 时 后宫 歌 合) between 889-893, one of the first sealing competitions ( utaawase ).
