Michael Blackwood

Michael Blackwood ( born August 29, 1976 in Kingston) is a Jamaican athlete who specializes in the 400 -meter run - with a personal record of 44.60 s in Madrid ( 2002).

He won several medals at smaller international competitions:

He never won a major tournament, although he in Saint- Denis as a third party was at the World Athletics Championships 2003 in Paris close. In the competition of the 400-meter run at the 2004 Summer Olympics he was eighth with 45.55 s. At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005, he only reached the semi-finals in third place in the flow.

Still, Blackwood was part of many successful 4-by- 400-meter relay teams. He won the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games and the World Indoor Championships in 2001.
