Michael Byrne (footballer born 1985)

Michael Thomas Byrne (born 14 May 1985 in Ashton -under- Lyne ) is a Welsh- English football player at the position of midfielder. He plays for the Bangkok Glass FC in the Thai Premier League.

Career

Byrne began his career in the youth academy of Bolton Wanderers. 2003 was dismissed from the academy. Leigh RMI had at that time been interested to sign him, but he signed a contract with Stockport County. There, however, he was rarely used. His only game for Stockport he made on 21 February 2004 against Notts County. In September 2004, he was loaned for one month to Leigh RMI. He graduated in the short time seven games for the club, scoring three goals. After his return he remained until February 2005 at Stockport before he joined Northwich Victoria. He stayed for three years and completed a total of 81 games. In October 2008, his contract was terminated because the club was in financial difficulties.

About the stations Forest Green Rovers and Stalybridge Celtic he came to Thailand. In 2009 he took part in a trial with Thai Nakhon Pathom FC club and received a contract. His first game he made on March 8, 2009. After 15 games for Nakhon Pathom, he joined in June 2009 Chonburi FC. During the match between FC Chonburi Nakhon Pathom and Byrne was already the coach of Chonburi, Kiatisak Senamuang noticed. Gameday On the last of the first round Byrne then received a call from Kiatisak. In the course of the conversation, he managed the coach Chonburi, Byrne to convince them of a change.

He was appointed for Gareth Williams, who had been injured in the cadre of U -21 of Wales in 2002. In the game against the Finnish U -21, however, he did not play. Previously, he had already Inserts for U -17 and U-19 from Wales, in the following years he counted more than once for the cadre of Welsh amateur team. Byrne would have been eligible to play for the English selection, but opted for the selection of Wales.
