Michael Caplan

Michael Caplan ( born 1953 ) is a British Queen's Counsel (QC ) and part-time judge (Recorder) at the Crown Court

Caplan studied law at King's College London, which he left with the degree of Bachelor of Laws ( LLB) and as an associate of King 's College (AKC ). Since 1978 he works as a solicitor with the law firm Kingsley Napley in London, whose partner he became in 1982. After a change in the law of 1990 judicially active as a Solicitor Advocate, he was appointed as one of the few Solicitors for the Attorney-General in 2002. Until 2003 he was Chairman of the Solicitors ' Association of Higher Court Advocates ( SAHCA ).

He lives in London and represented, among others Augusto Pinochet and now Kate and Gerry McCann.
