Michael Corrente

Michael Corrente ( born April 6, 1959 in Pawtucket, Rhode Iceland ) is an American independent film director and filmmaker.

Life

Corrente moved in 1985 to New York City and founded with his partners Glyde Hart and Jeffrey Gage Studio B Theatre Ensemble.

His first feature film Down and Out in Federal Hill (1994 ) with Nicholas Turturro was discussed positively and won the Audience Award at the American Film Festival. In 1996 he won Dustin Hoffman and Dennis Franz for the David Mamet adaptation American Buffalo - Happiness is on the road. He produced several of his own films as well as The Door in the Floor - The Door in the Floor ( 2004).
