Michael David Pfeifer

Michael David Pfeifer OMI ( born May 18, 1937 in Alamo ) is an American clergyman and Bishop Emeritus of San Angelo.

Life

Michael David Pfeifer joined the Congregation of the Oblates Hünfelder and received on 21 December 1964, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 31 May 1985 as Bishop of Prince George. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of San Antonio, Patrick Fernández Flores, on 26 August of the same year; Joseph Anthony Fiorenza were co-consecrators, Bishop of Galveston - Houston, and John Joseph Fitzpatrick, Bishop of Brownsville.

On December 12, 2013 Pope Francis took his age-related withdrawal.
