Michael Dempsey (bishop)

Michael Ryan Patrick Dempsey ( born September 10, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, † January 8, 1974 ) was auxiliary bishop in Chicago.

Life

Michael Ryan Patrick Dempsey received on 1 May 1943, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On May 2, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him. Titular Bishop of Truentum and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Chicago. The Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal John Cody, gave him on 13 June of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Madison, Cletus Francis O'Donnell, and the Bishop of Manchester, Ernest John Primeau.
