Michael Fu Tie-shan

Michael Fu Tie- shan ( born November 3, 1931 † 20 April 2007 in Beijing) was bishop of Beijing, the Chinese State Church Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association.

Life

Tie Fu Shan was born in 1931 in the district of Qing yuan in Hebei Province. From September 1941 to June 1950 he attended the Propaedeutic seminar in Beijing, the minor seminary in Xi Shi Ku and secondary school in Geng Xin. From June 1950 to July 1956, he studied philosophy and theology at the Major Seminary of the Archdiocese in Beijing, the so-called Wen Sheng College (where the missionary Father Matteo Ricci Asia is buried ).

From July 1956 to July 1979 he worked as a priest in parishes When Tang and Nan Tang. During this time he also studied foreign languages ​​at the Seminary of Beijing ( Peking Theological Institute ). From January 1963 to June 1996 he attended the University of Hong Qi Xuan Wu District in Beijing, where he worked alongside in order to pay for college.

On 21 December 1979 he was ( without the consent of the Vatican ) by Bishop Yan Gao Jian (then Bishop of Chang De Hebei Province ) ordained a bishop.

From July 1979 to January 1992 he was Deputy Chairman of the VI. and VII National Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the Management Committees of the Diocese, vice chairman of the Chinese Catholic Bishops' Conference, Bishop of Beijing, advisor to the China Association for International Exchange, Advisor to the China Foundation for Disabled. Since 2003, he was until his death Vice President of the Chinese People's Congress.
