Michael Grimm (politician)

Michael Gerard Grimm ( born February 7, 1970 in New York City ) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Michael Grimm attended until 1988 the Archbishop Molly High School in Briarwood, a neighborhood of Queens. Between 1989 and 1997 he served in the Marine Corps. He was used during the Second Gulf War in Iraq. During his military service, he graduated in 1994, Baruch College, part of the City University of New York. In 2002 he completed a law degree at New York Law School. Between 1997 and 2006, Grimm worked for the FBI. He then worked as a private businessman. He owned a restaurant and was co-owner of a transport company. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 2010, Grimm was in the 13th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Michael McMahon on January 3, 2011. He is a member of the Finance Committee and two subcommittees. He is also a four Congressional caucuses. Currently running against Michael Grimm investigation due to excessive donations assumptions.

In the congressional elections in 2012 Grimm sat down with 53:46 percent of the vote against the Democrats by Mark Murphy. Following a restructuring of constituencies he will continue to represent the eleventh district of his state.
