Michael Langer

Michael Langer (born 6 January 1985 in Bregenz, Vorarlberg) is an Austrian football player at the position of goalkeeper. Since April 2014 he is the Norwegian first division side Vålerenga Oslo under contract.

Career

Langer belonged since the Bundesliga season 2006/ 07 until the end of 2007 as a substitute goalkeeper in the first team of VfB Stuttgart. In the years 2004 to 2006 he played 27 games for the amateur team of Stuttgart.

His Bundesliga debut in Michael Long on March 10, 2007 at the home game against VfL Wolfsburg, as he stood for the flu sick Timo Hildebrand in goal. The game ended 0-0.

After Langer could not prevail against both Hildebrand, and against its successor Raphael Schäfer at VfB, he moved on 2 January 2008 for SC Freiburg. The Breisgauern he signed a 2011 contract valid until the end of June.

Early November 2009, graduated from Long a 3-day trial with English club Manchester United and trained there with the first team with. In mid-December, he completed a trial with English second division side Ipswich Town. As of 21 January 2010, graduated from Langer for several days sample workouts at the current Hungarian champions Debreceni VSC.

For the 2010/11 season changed Langer FSV Frankfurt, where he signed a contract until 2012. In the second division, he was reserve goalkeeper behind Patric Klandt, occasionally he stood for the U-23 representation of the FSV in the Regionalliga Süd in goal. His debut in the first team he was on the 30th match day home game against 1860 Munich ( 2:1), as a coach Hans -Jürgen Boysen set it up instead of the previously uncertain in the games root goalkeeper Klandt. Langer graduated from the last five games of the season FSV. In the subsequent second division season but was back in goal for the Klandt Bornheimer, so Langer came into use only in the two appearances of the FSV in the DFB Cup.

In summer 2012, Long signed for second division promoted SV Sandhausen a contract until June 30, 2014, who also owned for the 3rd league validity. After he came to no use in the 2013/14 second division season, and was also only the fourth goalkeeper of the club, he joined in April 2014 Vålerenga Oslo, where he received a contract until the end of the current Norwegian Erstligasaison.
