Michael McPartland

Michael Bernard McPartland SMA ( born September 29, 1939 in Middlesbrough, England ) is a Roman Catholic priest and Apostolic Prefect of the Apostolic since 2002 Falkland Islands or Malvinas Prefecture, as well as superior of the mission sui juris St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha.

Life

McPartland in 1939, shortly after the outbreak of the Second World War, was born in the North East, in Middlesbrough. At the age of 15 he left school and worked for five years as a salesman before he joined the British Army in 1960 and served as a soldier for eleven years.
