Michael Rubin

Michael Rubin ( * 1971 in Philadelphia ) is an American expert on the Middle East, a university teacher, author, journalist, military advisers and former employees of the Department of Defense of the United States.

Life

Rubin made ​​his BS in Biology in 1994 and 1999 his doctorate in history at Yale University. Ruby lived in Iran for some time and before the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, he also spent time with the Taliban. He currently is a member of the think tank American Enterprise Institute and has worked for the journal Middle East Quarterly as a writer and editor. In the past, he worked as a history lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Yale University and three universities in northern Iraq. For the U.S. military, he advises officers who are ordered to Iraq or Afghanistan.
