Michael Ugwu Eneja

Michael Ugwu Eneja (* 1919 in Ibagwa Nkwo, Nigeria, † 14 November 2008) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Enugu in Nigeria.

Life

Michael Ugwu Eneja ordained a priest on July 29, 1951 for the Diocese of Enugu.

In 1977 he was called by Pope Paul VI. appointed bishop in the Diocese of Enugu. He received his episcopal consecration Archbishop Girolamo Prigione, Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Nigeria, on February 26, 1978; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Onitsha in Nigeria and later Cardinal Francis Arinze and Anthony Gogo Nwedo, Bishop of Umuahia in Nigeria.

His old conditional resignation took John Paul II in 1996.
