Michael Wall (ice hockey)

Michael Wall (born 25 July 1985 in Telkwa, British Columbia) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender, who was active during his active career, among other things, for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League.

Career

Michael Wall began his active career as a professional ice hockey goaltender in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League with the Prince George Cougars, for which he was active from 2001 to 2003. He then joined the Everett Silvertips. In the following two years, Wall prevailed at the Silvertips as goalkeeper and put in the 2004/05 season with a catch rate of around 93 percent on its Karrierebestwert. In 56 games of the regular season, he scored a total of ten shutouts for the Everett Silvertips. After he had not previously been drafted, Wall signed on 29 September 2005 as a free agent contract with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The following season the goalkeeper spent at their farm team, the Portland Pirates in the American Hockey League and the Augusta Lynx in the ECHL. After he finished 21 games for the Lynx and eleven games for the Pirates, while each recorded a shutout, he stood in the following season in the squad the Portland Pirates.

Although, now called Anaheim Ducks franchise with Ilya Brysgalow and Jean -Sébastien Giguère had two potential first-choice goalkeeper and Sebastien Caron was engaged in a barter transaction by the Chicago Blackhawks in December 2006, Wall received two appeals during the 2006/07 season in the NHL cadre of Californians. He completed a total of four NHL games in which he received ten goals. His time with the Ducks ended on 27 February 2007, when he was transferred in exchange for Brad May to the Colorado Avalanche. However, for the Avalanche, he completed a match and stood in the same season for the Portland Pirates and the Arizona Sundogs in use. During the same season Wall scored as the third goalkeeper of the Central Hockey League history by Bryan McMullen (2002) and Phil Groeneveld ( 1995) produced a goal as he scored in a game against the Corpus Christi Rayz into the empty net. Also for the 2007/08 season it was a return to the NHL denied and the goalkeeper played 33 games for the Lake Erie Monsters in the AHL, where he succeeded him a shutout. Following this season Wall ended his active career.
