Michal Mikeska

Michal Mikeska ( born April 28, 1976 in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with HC České Budějovice in the Czech Extraliga since October 2009.

Career

Michal Mikeska began his career as a hockey player at SK Slavia Horacka Třebíč, for which he was active from 1996 to 1998, where he and his team succeeded in the 1996/97 season, the rise of the third-rate second division to the first division. Then the attacker played for six years for HC Moeller Pardubice in the Czech Extraliga, with which he first Czech champion in 2005. As top scorer of the league of extra links Sagittarius significant proportion had that success. In summer 2006, Mikeska moved to Russia, where he received a contract with Salavat Yulaev Ufa. With Ufa, he won the Russian Cup in the 2007/ 08 season.

In summer 2009, he moved within the Kontinental Hockey League to HK Sibir Novosibirsk, for whom he played only seven games before he returned for family reasons in his home country. He received contract offers from four clubs from the Extraliga and decided in early October 2009 for the HC České Budějovice, for which he has performed since then.
