Michel Côté (actor)

Michel Côté ( born June 25, 1950 in Alma, Quebec ) is a Canadian actor.

Life and achievements

Côté completed his training as an actor at the National Theatre School from the year 1973. Since 1972, he is married to the actress Véronique Le Flaguais and has two children.

2001 Côté was nominated for La vie après l' amour for Best Actor at the Prix Jutra. 1990, two Genie Award nominations were gearing for Sweet Machos ( Cruising Bar ) and 2005 for The Last Tunnel ( Le dernier tunnel ). In the 26th Genie Awards in 2006, Côté won best actor for CRAZY - Crazy Life. For the same film in 2006, entered the Prix Jutra for Best Supporting Actor at him. The Vancouver Film Critics Circle awarded him the 2006 VFCC Award for Best Supporting Actor also for CRAZY - Crazy Life. In this award-winning drama film directed by Jean -Marc Vallée Côté embodied the father of the main character in family difficulties.

Michel Côté until 2007 was president of the Prix Jutra - event. The actress Danielle Proulx follows him in this task.
