Michel del Castillo

Michel del Castillo ( born August 3, 1933, Madrid) is a French writer of Spanish origin.

Biography

In conjunction with the turmoil of the Spanish Civil War Castillo fell after being denounced by his mother as a child in the Mauthausen concentration camp. The there, as well as the experienced in a totalitarian -run children's home after his return to Spain physical and psychological tortures form the autobiographical background of his first widely successful novel Tanguy (1957, German in 1958 as elegy night).
