Míchel (footballer)

José Miguel González Martín del Campo ( born March 23, 1963 in Madrid), player name Míchel, is a Spanish football manager and former football player.

Career as a football player

The right winger started his footballer career in the youth divisions of Real Madrid. As part of the legendary Quinta del Buitre ( an outstanding talent transition year with players like Butragueño, Martín Vázquez, Sanchis, Miguel Pardeza and Míchel itself) he managed, after great success in the second- team Castilla, in 1984 the leap in the first squad. There he contributed to his last game of the Madridistas the number 8 on his back. For many years he was both Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, the fixed star on the right wing, where he made his infamous flanks of danger. A serious knee injury in the season 1994/95 and the associated loss of stem position led her to a total of 20 years in the club to his departure in 1996. Career as a coach

After his playing career, he was for several years in the Spanish media landscape works as a football expert and commentator, before he took over as coach of Rayo Vallecano in the season 2005/ 06. On February 4, 2013 he was introduced as the new coach of Olympiakos Piraeus. He signed until the summer of 2015. Míchel was in season 2012/13 Greek champion and Greek Cup winner.
