Micheline Lannoy

Micheline Lannoy (* June 30, 1925 in Brussels ) is a Belgian former figure skater, which was launched in pair skating.

Your figure skating partner was Pierre Baugniet. With him, she dominated the first two years of competition after the Second World War. They won all the major competitions in which they participated. In 1947, she ran up in Davos and the European title in Stockholm in 1947 and 1948 in Davos they were world champions. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz Lannoy and Baugniet won the gold medal. It is still the only Olympic gold medal in the Winter Games for Belgium. Along with Robert Van Zeebroeck in 1928 also won a bronze medal in St. Moritz, Lannoy and Baugniet are the only Belgian skaters that have won an Olympic medal.
