Mickaël Nelson

Mickaël Nelson (born 2 February 1990 in Marseille ) is a French football player.

Career

Mickaël Nelson's parents came from the island of Réunion. He was born in Marseille, where he played in his youth from the age of seven years at the sports club Caillols. From 2004 he was a member of the HSC Montpellier. He was captain of the U-19 team that in 2009 the Coupe Gambardella, the cup competition of the French A- youth teams won. He was also a youth international of France from the U 17 to U 19 and took part in the U- 17 World Cup in Korea and the U-19 European Championship in Ukraine.

Already in 2008 he had come to the end of the season for his first brief appearance in the first team of the HSC in the second division in France. The following year, the team was promoted to the first division, but Nelson succeeded in this or in the following years, with the professionals to gain a foothold.

The versatile defensive player moved in 2011 to the third German league for SV Babelsberg 03 as reinforcement for the right side of defense. Already on the opening day of the 2011/12 season he was over 90 minutes to use. On the second day he scored just after coming off the bench his first goal in German professional football with the 3-0 win against Rot-Weiß Erfurt.
