Mickey Knox (actor)

Mickey Knox ( Knox actually Abraham, born December 12, 1921 in New York City; † November 15, 2013 in Los Angeles ) was an American actor, film producer and author.

Life

Knox began his film career in 1946 in the crime film Killer McCoy and mostly developed for busy, beefy supporting cast of dubious characters like young criminals ( Knock on Any Door 1949), Players (Any Number Can Play, 1949) and the critically acclaimed portrayal of the sociopathic " Pacific Kid " in Western Pacific Agent ( 1950). His appearance on the blacklist of the McCarthy era in the subsequent year limited ( and ultimately finished ) his work opportunities in the United States. He went at the beginning of the 1960s to Europe, where he - especially in Italy - primarily as a dialogue writer for the English language versions of national films ( the most famous among them probably Sergio Leone Bad and the Ugly ) worked. In 1971 he produced Duccio Tessaris Spaghetti Western Two wild compañeros. From 1977 he was again more active as an actor; until 1988, he returned to his homeland, where he appeared quite a few times to the year 2000.

In 2004, he published his memoirs, The Good, the Bad and the Dolce Vita: The Adventures of an Actor in Hollywood, Paris and Rome.

In Natural Born Killers is called the protagonist, played by Woody Harrelson by Mickey Knox.
