Micro Machines

Micro Machines was in the 1980s and 1990s, a toy line of the California company Galoob, which was bought in the late 1990s by Hasbro. The Micro Machines were mainly to model cars of a few centimeters in size. Together with the similar, but larger products by Matchbox and Hot Wheels were the Micro Machines the "big three " of the U.S. model car market. In the beginning was the goal of the series to develop realistic miniature versions of existing car brand models. Anticipated sale number for 1988 was 45 million units.

Later sets for films and series such as Starship Troopers, Star Trek, Indiana Jones and Star Wars have been produced, some of which also contained characters, aircraft and ships in addition to the respective vehicles.

As of 1991, there appeared a series of computer and video games, which was produced by Codemasters.
