Microsoft Deployment Toolkit

The Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (English, Microsoft distribution kit ), short- MDT, formerly called Business Desktop Deployment, is a Microsoft program, which supports administrators in the automated delivery of server and client operating systems.

Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Hardware drivers, Windows updates, and software can be integrated into the installation.

Requirements

MDT 2010 Update 1 requires Windows AIK for Windows 7 ahead. Both tools can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft Web site. MDT 2010 Update 1 enables the implementation of Lite-Touch deployments and provides built-in templates for updating, replacement, upgrade, and bare -metal installations ready.
