Midem

The Midem ( Marché international de l' édition musicale ) is the world's largest music show held annually since 1966 in Cannes. The music industry often uses as a platform for announcing new products, musicians or business strategies. Each fair is under a priority issue; at Midem 2004, this was the music sales on the Internet,

View on Midem, in addition to business meetings, and a series of accompanying events such as lectures, seminars and of course concerts.

Since 2005, is awarded annually to the Midem Classical Award for best classical productions of the year from around 20 divisions of classical music. German members of the jury, composed of 20 international trade magazines, the trade magazine Fono Forum, the Central German Broadcasting (MDR ) and the online classical music magazine klassik.com.

Attended the Midem 2003 attended by around 8,620 visitors and 4,000 companies who came from 92 countries.

Midem 2008: 9,093 participants, 4,545 companies, 2,233 exhibiting companies, 88 countries, 9,017 m² of total floor space, 482 journalists from 398 media.
