Mietoinen

Mietoinen [ miɛtɔi̯nɛn ] ( swedish Mietois ) is a city and a former municipality in south-western Finland. Mietoinen is located on the Baltic Sea bay Mietoistenlahti in the landscape Varsinais -Suomi 30 km northwest of Turku. The attractions of Mietoinen include the stone church from 1643 and a bird sanctuary on the bay Mietoistenlahti.

The community Mietoinen existed until the end of 2006. On 1 January 2007 it was united with the neighboring community Mynämäki. The new church was named Mynämäki and bears the arms of Mietoinen.
