Miffy

Miffy ( Dutch: [ nɛintʃɛ ] ) is a storybook character, the Dutchman Dick Bruna in 1955 designed.

Originally published especially Miffy children's books, each consisting of 16 square sides, next to those exposed at four lines per page, the story was told. Later Miffy short movies and numerous merchandising products appeared.

Except Miffy, a white, female rabbits, occur numerous other characters in the books and movies, such Nijntjes parents and grandparents, too bears and pigs.

The name " Miffy " is derived from the Dutch word " Konijntje " (rabbit). In German and English editions is " Miffy " translated " Miffy " or "Nina". On older German products there is still the name " Nientje " or " wabbit ".

The drawings are very minimalist and limited to the most essential black lines and few colors for the filling of space.
