Miguel Ángel Nadal

Miguel Ángel Nadal Homar ( born July 28, 1966 in Manacor, Mallorca ) is a former Spanish footballer.

He first played at the position of midfielder, but has evolved over the years into a dreaded central defender.

Career

Nadal played 62 times for the Spanish national team and 18 years in the Spanish Primera División for RCD Mallorca, where he began his professional career in 1986, and at FC Barcelona. With FC Barcelona the Mallorcan was, among other things five times Spanish champion between 1991 and 1999 and took the 1992 European Champion Clubs' Cup. Because, with all due success, difficult working with coach van Gaal, he moved to the end of his career in 1999 again to his hometown club RCD Mallorca, and he helped the team in 2003 to win the Spanish Cup. In 2005, he hung at the age of 39 years, his football boots on the nail.

He is the uncle of Spanish tennis pro Rafael Nadal. Miguel's brother Toni trained Rafael.
