Miguel Monteiro
Miguel [ miɣɛɫ ] ( born January 4, 1980 in Lisbon, Luís Miguel Brito Garcia Monteiro, actually ) is a Portuguese football player.
1998 Miguel was inducted into the first team at Estrela Amadora. After two successful years, he went in 2000 to Benfica. At the beginning of the 2005/06 season, the Portuguese moved for eight million euros to FC Valencia in the Primera División. Miguel is actually a skilled striker, but was retrained by the former Benfica coach Fernando Chalana to right-back.
Miguel is set to the position of right-back in Valencia.
Miguel played 59 times in the Portuguese national team before he announced his resignation on 9 September 2010.
