Miguel (singer)

Miguel Jontel Pimentel (born 23 October 1985 in Los Angeles ), artist name, Miguel, is an American R & B singer and songwriter.

Career

Pimentel is from the district of San Pedro Los Angeles, where many Americans of Mexican descent live. The age of 14 he signed his first contract, but he announced again at 18. Then he stood for two years at an indie record deal, but there was no publication. His recordings were made but the way to Mark Pitts of Jive Records, who in 2007 gave him a record deal.

Because of disputes with his old indie label, however, it took three years before he could publish his first single. In between, he worked as a songwriter with Usher and Asher Roth, whose album track His Dream he sang. Also at the Top 6 R & B hit If U Leave by Musiq Soulchild and Mary J. Blige he was involved. His debut single All I Want Is You, with the support of rapper J. Cole was released in September 2010 and came straight into the U.S. singles charts.
