Mihály Tóth (footballer born 1926)

Mihály Tóth (born 14 September 1926 in Budapest; † 7 March 1990) was a Hungarian football player.

Tóth played from 1949 to 1963 at Újpesti Dózsa and 1949-1957 six times for the Hungarian national football team, where he scored a goal. In the final of the football World Cup in 1954, he ran against Germany and became vice world champion.

With his club team Tóth primarily used on the left wing in the season 1959/60 champions of Hungary. He played for Újpesti Dózsa, known in those years as Újpest TE and Budapest Doja, 238 league matches and scored 41 goals.

Tóth was the older brother of József Tóth, often " Toth II " mentioned in statements as that participated equally with the Hungarian national football team at the 1954 World Cup.
