Mija Aleksić

Mija Aleksic ( born September 26, 1923 in Gornja Črnuca, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, † March 12, 1995 in Belgrade, Serbia ) was a Yugoslav- Serbian actor.

Life

Aleksic attended high school in Kragujevac. At the age of 18, he witnessed the massacre of Kraljevo and Kragujevac, in which the German Wehrmacht over 2000 inhabitants Kragujevacs shot indiscriminately. Shortly after the liberation Kragujevacs Aleksic announced on Knjaževsko - srpski teatar in Kragujevac his acting debut and belonged until 1948 to the ensemble of the theater. He studied law and was from 1951 to 1965 a member of the Yugoslav National Theatre. Subsequently he was a member of the Dramatic Theatre in Belgrade and in 1977 a freelance artist.

Aleksic, in 1950 for the film and made ​​his screen debut in Muva. At the beginning he was primarily used in comedic roles in comedies and music films and was one of the first television stars of Yugoslavia. In later films Aleksic was also in demand as a character actor.

Aleksic died in 1995 and was buried in the New Cemetery in Belgrade.
