Mike Bannister

Mike Bannister ( b. 1949 ) is a British pilot of modern airliners.

After a made ​​possible by a grant from pilot training at Bannister was 1969 BOAC, the forerunner of British Airways. In 1977, he became the youngest pilot of the Concorde. Since 1995, he was chief pilot of the Concorde, which meant that he frequently gave interviews in connection with the only supersonic passenger aircraft. In the British public he is therefore also known as Mr. Concorde. He was also the pilot of the last scheduled flight of the Concorde from New York to London on 24 October 2003, as well as the pilot in command at the very last Concorde flight ever, which took place on 26 November 2003 when the Concorde with the registration G - BOAF was flown from London to Filton to the museum.

After the Concorde was decommissioned, Mike Bannister holds an unassailable record for most hours flying on the Concorde.
