Mike Carlin

Michael " Mike" Carlin ( born October 6, 1958) is an American comic book writer and publishing editor.

Life and work

Carlin began working in the 1970s as an editor for various U.S. publishers. In this context, he was entrusted with the editorial support of various magazines and comics, before he finally decided in the early 1980 in favor of his work in the comic book industry.

For Marvel Comics he hired himself soon after the first time in the form of artistic work as an author and illustrator of stories for the humorous magazine Crazy Magazine, before he was promoted as Assistant Editor Assistant to the Publishing Director of Marvel, Mark Gruenwald. After a few more Author jobs - including the Captain America Series (1985-1986) - Carlin eventually switched to Marvel's main rival, DC Comics.
