Mike Dunleavy sr.

Michael Joseph "Mike" Dunleavy sr. ( Born March 21, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York ) is a retired American professional basketball player and current coach. Since 1990 he has trained in the U.S. professional league NBA diverse teams. Until 1992 he was head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. For four seasons, from 1992 to 1996 and 1997 to 2001, he coached the Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers. Since 2003 he was involved with the Los Angeles Clippers. There he joined in 2010 from his office. His overall record as an NBA coach is 426-444 (2004 ). His greatest success was in the finals with the Lakers in 1991, where, however, the Chicago Bulls defeated.

His son, Mike Dunleavy Jr. is currently playing for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA.
