Mike Enzi

Michael Bradley " Mike" Enzi ( born February 1, 1944 in Bremerton, Washington ) is an American politician and, since January 3, 1997 U.S. Senator for the state of Wyoming. The Republican Committee is a former Chairman of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

Mike Enzi went to Thermopolis and Sheridan to the school. He graduated in 1966 from George Washington University in 1968 with a degree in MBA from the University of Denver. He then began a career as a businessman and owned a chain of shoe stores.

The former mayor of Gillette (1975-1982) sat from 1987 to 1991 in the House of Representatives from Wyoming and from 1991 to 1996 in the state Senate before Alan K. Simpson succeeded in 1996 as a U.S. Senator. He was confirmed with a vote share of 73 percent in 2002, six years later, he won with 75.6 percent of the vote even clearer to Democrat Chris Rothfuss. Enzi is made since he took office, but so far without success, to ensure that senators can use laptops in plenary.

Enzi is considered conservative. In a survey on the voting behavior of senators in 2010 by the political magazine National Journal he came from a conservative point of view eleventh place.
