Mike Markkula

Armas Clifford "Mike" Markkula ( born February 11, 1942 in Los Angeles ) is an American entrepreneur and was from 1981 to 1983 CEO of Apple.

Markkula 's ancestors came from Finland and emigrated in the 19th century in the United States.

Markkula studied electrical engineering at the University of Southern California. He was a business angel in the founding of Apple and founder of Echelon Corporation. The Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University is sponsored by him, this university also awarded him an honorary doctorate.
