Mike Russell (billiards player)

Mike Russell ( born June 3, 1969 in Middlesbrough ) is an English billiards player.

Russell is eleven times world champion and seven-time runner-up in the English Billiards. The conference, organized by the WPBSA World Cup is being held since 1870.

Career

After winning the British Under-16 Championship, he was at the age of 17 years pro, winning in 1989 at the age of 20 years, his first world championship. Since then, he is beside Geet Sethi from India and Peter Gilchrist (Singapore ) the most successful players of his sport, being the record holder of the post-war era with eleven titles.

2009 and 2010 he went to the World Cup for Qatar at the start. He also worked as a trainer in Asia for various national teams including Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
