Mike Salmon

Michael Salmon (b. July 14, 1964 in Leyland, Lancashire ) is an English former football goalkeeper and football coach.

Playing career

Salmon began his career as a goalkeeper at Blackburn Rovers, where he came to a single use in two years. In 1982 he was awarded by the Rovers Chester City to play matches. From 1983 to 1986 he was at Stockport County under contract and played over 100 games.

After another intermediate stations at Bolton Wanderers and AFC Wrexham, he moved to Charlton Athletic. The Athletikern he remained for ten years and played more than 150 games duty. From 1999 to 2002 Salmon was at Oxford United and Ipswich Town end his career.

Coaching career

After his career end Salom was goalkeeper coach of FC Arsenal reserve team. From 2002 to 2004 he coached the goalkeeper of FC Gillingham. Subsequently, he was a full-time goalie coach of the Arsenal first team.

In 2007 he emigrated with his family to Canada and has been goalkeeper coach for the Vancouver Whitecaps. After changing the Whitecaps in Major League Soccer, he was taken with the new franchise.
