Miki Gorman

Miki Gorman (born Japanese诹 访 美智子, Michiko Suwa; born August 14, 1935 in Qingdao, China) is a former American marathon runner of Japanese origin.

The daughter of a doctor grew up in Fukushima Prefecture on in the present town of Aizu Wakamatsu - where they had to walk ten kilometers to school every day. At 28, she came to the United States where she worked as a nurse and the Carlisle Commercial College visited and then found a job in Los Angeles. There she married in 1966 the businessman Michael Gorman.
