Mikkel Andersen

Mikkel Andersen ( born December 17, 1988 in Herlev ) is a Danish football goalkeeper. Since 2007 he is with the English first division club FC Reading under contract.

Career

Andersen's career began when AB Copenhagen, where he arrived in January 2006 in the first team and there signed a professional contract. In January 2007 he was transferred to Britain for English Premier League club FC Reading. The transfer fee was in the six figures. However, he could not prevail there.

In February 2008, he was loaned out to Torquay United, only to return in May 2008 to Reading because his loan contract expired. In the same month rose from Reading in the Football League Championship. In November 2008, Andersen was at the Brentford FC. Further stations were Brighton & Hove Albion and Bristol Rovers.

Since January 2011, Andersen again plays for FC Reading.

Mikkel Andersen plays for the U21 national team of Denmark. He had his first U-21 international match on February 10, 2009, when he was a substitute in a 1-0 win over the U21 selection of Malta in the mid-term break for Jonas Lossl. For a long time he was the number 2 behind Lossl. In 2011 he was nominated by the U- 21 U-21 coach Keld Bordinggaard for the preliminary squad for U -21 Football Championship 2011 in his home country and made it in the final squad.
